race report by Mark Harling
For the first time in several years the New Zealand electric championships returned to the Ruapuna raceway in Christchurch. At this event 13.5 turn brushless ‶Superstock※ was by far the most popular class, with a field of 30 drivers. XRAY was once again well represented on the track with 10 drivers, and off the track with excellent support from local distributor Zoom Resources.

Qualifying was incredibly tight at the top. After four intense rounds of qualifying the top three were separated by less than one second. XRAY claimed pole with Andrew Webber, and 3rd qualifier with Mark Harling. There was a gap of a few seconds from these drivers to the rest of the field. Five of the ten cars in the A final were XRAY.

Mark Harling finished closely behind Ivan in these finals, and won the third final, to take second overall. Ian Rickerby claimed the final podium position.
